Hobbico Twinstar Query!!!!
HI all, i was just wondering if Hobbico is planning a replacement for the Twinstar, seems a shame such a fun plane was discontinued, any idea why, maybe it wasnt a big seller? or
maybe due to having its run a few years and was time to retire design/kit? due to it being dated , like the Hobbico Flightstar 40 trainer I have?, who knows, lets just hope another one replaces it , Best Regards !!!!!! and spring is here (almost lol) YAH

Hobbico Twinstar Query!!!!
I'm sorry but that P-38 is no Twinstar. It is a kit not an ARF and it is profile! It would be a very sharp looking plane if weren't for the profile fuse.
I really hope they do bring back the Twinstar. If they were to upgrade it slightly with a different color scheme, heavier wood, and optional retracts....They wouldn't be able to make them fast enough.

Sorry, didn't even think about the possibility of including ARF as part of the replacement criteria. Kits don't bother me in the least.
But I'm not a profile fan, either.

Hobbico Twinstar Query!!!!
It is just a shame they got rid of a good thing. My Twinstar is the best plane I've had. Maybe not in construction, but definately in fun factor and flying characteristics.

Hobbico Twinstar Query!!!!
I couldn't resist putting pictures of mine - which no longer exists.
Went into a barbed wire fence at full throttle. Has 2 32sx's in it, and I loved it! Could hover it even at 6,000 ft (weighed 7-8lbs). I hope they come out with a new one, because that was my favorite plane! I even put an airbrake on it, as you can see from the second picture.

Hobbico Twinstar Query!!!!
That is pretty sharp looking. I put a bomb drop on mine I use to drop parachuters. I love to take it straight vertical till I can barely see it and let parachuters go. I chop the throttle and put her into a dive, land and watch the parachuters glide back to earth. Usually take them about 5 minutes to land.
I take them VERY high. Sometimes I lose orientation it is so high and have to put it into a spin until it gets low enough to see again.

My C 310-Star
Mike and NJD:
I call this one my C3/10, because it looks about 30% like a Cessna 310 of the early style, before the "Go-Faster" vertical fin.
It also was built long before the Twinstar came on the market, so I suppose they copied me instead of the other way around.
But its ancestry is Hobbico, I bashed it from a "Hobbistar 60."
