RE: Aluminium shocks for Savage
Question #1- Those shocks will only fit the E-Savage. They are shorter shocks.
E-Savage Shocks: are 5.7" uncompressed
Savage shocks are 6.5-6.75" uncompressed, so up to an inch longer.
Question #2- Those shocks are definitely threaded. I am not a big fan of those shocks though. They never had that smooth of motion and they leaked quite often.
If I was going to pick up Savage shocks, I would probably get these-

DO NOT get the hotboddies alloy shocks!!!
they are a complete waste of money!!
even the stock shocks are better!!!
if i were getting shocks i would either get, losi aftershock, innovative rc or LST

RE: Aluminium shocks for Savage
I personally have aluminum shocks on my savage and will never buy another one again. I bent 4/8 aluminum ones and the stock ones are still all in one piece and back on my truck. If anything go with the LST shocks.
