Is it possible to do a torque-roll on a 50cc decathlon
I have seen a video of one guy doing a torque roll on a cub ( I guess it was a 1/3 scale cub with probably a 50cc gas engine)!
I would love to move into 50cc range now, but I like scale-aerobatic planes like the decathlon.
I am wondering if anyone tried to perform a torque-roll on a 50cc size decathlon!
It would be nice to combine scale aerobatics with 3d manovers that require high engine torque-to-plane weight ratio
Thanks in advance!

Depends on how much the plane weighs. You're not going to torque roll a 33% Decathlon on a 50cc engine. You should be able to do it with a smaller size, as long as it's not over about 16-18 pounds.
Will the tail surfaces be large enough to keep the plane stable and vertical? Only one way to find out.

Oh no, is this the new trend? So I have to sell my Edge and Extra and get a 3D cub? Man things are changing in ways I never expected.....

It takes a REAL man to torque the Cub--Decathlon--Taylorcraft--Citabria etc.. and throw it into an inverted elevator right into inverted harrier with the top of the rudder dragging down the asphalt.
I have a "vintage" Midwest Citabria 80" kit for sale. NIB. Line up boys. First $2000 takes this kit home. [sm=lol.gif][sm=lol.gif][sm=lol.gif]
