Is there a faster way to charge a 12V 1.2A Gel-Cell starter box battery
Hi, has anybody tried to charge a 12V gell cell starter box battery with a duratrax ice charger or is it just not possible. If you did could you tell me what settings you used? Thanks

Thats what I was thinking.
All my gel cells are 7A...
But yeah, I know you can get a 1.2 A, its like a Mini Gel Cell, actually meant for Turbine Powered Jets and not for starter boxes...

there are rc chargers that will do
pb batterys
if i find one i'll edit this with a link
edit
i thought there was one
and a good one too
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXMAJ0&P=ML
but, really
a 1:1 car charger
will charge one pretty quickly on a 2a setting
some even have a 7.5a or 10a setting
so
with care
you could charge one in an hour or a little less

Thanks guys. It's definitely a 12V 1.2A gell cell. It's very small and I use it mainly for my plane starter, but it also works in a starter box. I did read about a guy using his ICE on the lipo setting and charged his 12V gell cell. I wanted to see if anybody else tried this with their ICE before I tried it. Don't want to fry the battery or my ICE for that matter. I just hate using the overnight wall charger, but I guess it will have to due. Thanks
