RE: water cooled exhaust
The only thing you might have to watch for is the silicone couple melting and also heat from the pipe in the hull. Should be fine if you have an open hatch.

RE: water cooled exhaust
So the o-rings won't melt? that I guess is what I'm asking.
what about the manifold will it crack?
what about welding the pipe to the header and the header to the manifold flange would this work?, after getting it tuned of course.
I just see the water pump and hoses as extra stuff that, if it isn't need then why have it.
thanks

you might be better off with a quickdraw pipe setup as I think they are welded and use a spring retension system like on a dirt bike. I'm sure some of the other guys will pipe in that run those pipes.

the o rings will melt unless you live where its cold...lol. but yes they will melt, when by accident or vibrations a cooling line falls off, the o rings melt due to too much heat. So either like posted above about a QD or get some lines to the flange if ya have a cooling flange. I forgot you can also wrap it with some plumbers tape from I think Home Depot but the flange on the header O rings will still melt.

RE: water cooled exhaust
I run a dry pipe on my water cooled Zen. I've had a little problem keeping couplers on. I got Teflon couplers now, so testing those in a week or so. I haven't had time to make it to the water yet this spring. I think they will hold up just fine.
