of50cc for $169
I just happened upon an ad from Hobby City.com a company out of China who sells gas engines at rediculously cheap prices. They have a 50cc for $169 and 45cc for I belive $179. The shipping is approximately 27-30 bucks and you have to wait a few weeks for the delivery. If you read the description it is almost unbelieveable. CNC milled crank case and crank, Walbro carb with a velocity stack and they include the muffler. I have to say that it is worth the gamble to try it. Has anyone had any experience with these engines.

My friend "Yallaair" is flying the 52cc from Hobbycity. He uses a 160 purple pipe from http://www.justengines.unseen.org/ and this combination is extremely quite ( no such annoying moped sound)and powers his Giant U-Can Do with ease. The engine is easy starting and very reliable and after about a gallon and a half, it really woke up and has great power

Just as a matter of thought. Why do we consider $200 for a 50cc engine "cheap"?
You can go into any Wally World or Home Depot and buy a 31cc weedwhacker
with all the other junk that comes with it (pull starter, tank, shaft, head, mono string, housing etc for
$69.00
I know all about economies of scale but really, if you are going to make engines anywhere
you are going to make 1000 of them so tooling, materials, labor, machinery etc while be spread over many units.
My next engine will be a DL-100 for $600 or so, a bendover price but not $1300 for a DA-100 or Z-80

I love my SV 26cc from HC. If you pay the extra cost you can have the engine in 5 days. I paid $179 total shipped and got it in 4 days. RCS is now selling this engine for $220, so you can no longer get it from HC.

Yiur right! I also have a Jet Joe Turbine which many people like to bag on saying its no good because it was a cheap copy of a name brand engine and run great. I use to pay high prices but not anymore. They all crash sooner or later and when they do youll be glad you bought direct!
