Custom Paint Job on Micro Citabria
I just got my Micro Citabria in the mail yesterday... $100 used on eBay (it came in perfect shape, with everything but the manual and oil). The first thing I did to it was try everything out. The second thing I did was strip off almost all of the decals and give it a custom "paint job". This consisted of using a black and a red permanent marker. I looked up a picture of a real Citabria online, and generally tried to copy its markings. I didn't do the markings 100% accurate, but I got it close. On the underside of the wings I did black and white stripes similar to the markings on Decathlons. I also added clear packing tape to the top and bottom sides of the wings, and the control surfaces on the tail. This doubled their strength. It flies great and it looks awesome in the air... a lot better than the mostly white colour scheme it came with! (Please see pictures below)
