Any recent experiences with FLT26 gasser from HC?
Hi,
I'm looking into buying this engine:
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...gnition_2.45PS
It's dirt cheap, and I've read some mixed reviews on our Dutch forum. But the worst reviews are old, and from competition flyers. The more recent ones, and from the Sunday-afternoon-amateur flyers (like me) seem more positive. Anyone here that can share experience?
Thanks,
Hugo

Get it and play with it! If it's like the SV-26 that I got from them ( $178 to my door) before RCS got in the act, it'll be worth it.

Hi Charley,
thanks for the reply. 2q's:
Who is/are RCS?
What size prop does your engine swing at what RPM?
Cheers,
Hugo

RE: Any recent experiences with FLT26 gasser from HC?
I've been flying one since last August, I'm running a wood 17x6 on my 1/4 scale cap 232, sorry I don't have any current RPM s. I've got about 2 gallons of 40:1 fuel through it now. It took me a while to get it dialed in for max RPM. I probably need to re tune it now. I bought a second one for another project. I don't have any other gas experience to compare it to. It starts reasonably well, Idles OK, transitions quickly. I'm not sure what else I want it to do, other than last for several years.
