charging Futaba Nicad
I just bought a new plane and have always used 4.8 volt in my other planes but my new one I am going to use 6v...My question is, can you use the standard futaba AC wall charger that I used for my 4.8 batteries to charge the 6v batteries...?
Thanks

I use my 4.8v wal wart charger(s) for my 6v 1650mah battery, and it works just fine. I need to leave it on the charger for a bit longer than a 4.8v, but I am able to get a full charge from it. Make sure you check the battery under load to make sure all is well.

I am able to get a full charge out of my wall wart (7.2 to 7.4). I have read elsewhere that some chargers are not capable of doing this, so the one you have may not work. Like I said before, make sure you check the voltage with a loaded volt meter to make sure it did the trick.

Not sure if that was directed at me, but I have [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKSY1]this charger[/link] that I use too. The wal wart is good to charge batteries overnight, but you certainly need a good all around charger also.
