Things to check: check the motor. It may be time for a new one. Check the wire leades fron the esc to motor. They can come loose or get coroded. check your ESc to see if it has a thermal overload protection If it does try a new motor. If it has a fuse replace it and try a new motor. IF not then a new ESC.

How long does it run before it quits ? This doesn't sound like an ESC problem. It sounds more like a motor in need of new brushes but the Tamiya motors aren't re-buildable so it might be time for a new one.

Also make sure the battery is fully charged. What battery and what voltage does it read?

Are these new batteries? You should be slow charging them (called form charging) at 500mah, not quick charging them.
