i like the hi-tec all metal gears servos, their quick and easily turn the wheels from lock to lock when stationary

I have the water-proof high TQ servos from Traxxas in my X and they have worked great. In my XL I have Hitec 985MG for steering and throttle.

i need a new steering servo for my X. I am looking into the Hitec 645 (like $40) or the Hitec 5645 ($60). which one did you end up choosing?

Sorry for the off topic... How do you get a Hitec 645 to work with the stock Savage throttle horn? The spline shaft on the 645 is smaller than the horn!

For the steering I run a Hobbico CS-170. Full TI gear train, and 333 in oz of torque.
