Hanger 9 80" Cap & DW 50
I have a Hanger 9 80" CAP on the way and was wondering how much will I have to modify the firewall to mount a DA50. With the DA50 being a rear induction engine the firwall to back of prop is about 6.75 inches, the CAP calls for 6". Anybody have this combo?

I have an 80"cap and just ordered my DA50 yesterday. Though the following pictures are not of a DA50, the installation of the ZDZ engines should be pretty similar. Here's some pictures of someone else's plane that might help.

By the way, a fellow club member was told by someone at Desert Aircraft that DA was going to raise the price of the DA50 by $50 dollars around the first of July. It hasn't happened as of yesterday but you might want to get your order in if you plan on getting one anyways.

Had to cut a hole for the carb bolts, choke and throttle arms to clear. Also used 2 1/4 standoffs, engine installs very easy.Also made a support for pushrods back from firewall.
