Losi Strike

RE: Losi Strike
I have to agree with these guys. The strike is really not the truck you want. ANY of the other SCT's would be a better choice. There are just too many problems with that model to make it not worth putting time or money into. If you can I would seriously consider returning it.

RE: Losi Strike
that just means that there will be lots of cheap roller on ebay.
i recently bought one used. it is fun to drive, handles well and i havent broken anything yet. i have also seen some youtube vids of a strike with a VXL system. the owner of the vid said the only upgrade he has made was losi's CVD driveshafts. the stock dogbones are said to be weak, but i havent had a problem with them yet.
considering that you can get a strike for $150 new RTR, its worth the money.

RE: Losi Strike
I agree....Strikes are being given away on ebay and the ads on rcu as well...seen some really low prices. Whatever problems it may have, the low cost makes up for it..problems can be fixed IMO

RE: Losi Strike
I honestly still think I would have passed on it. I personally have never owned one of these trucks but I know several people (racers) that jumped in a bought them when they first came out. Some spent hundreds of dollars trying to make them work and none succeeded. Currently there are none left at either track I run at. Most went to a Blitz or Slash while a one or two went to the SC10's.
There's a LHS here that has a complete Strike with every hopup you can think of (total of the parts list was $500+) It's only been raced a couple of times and they have been trying to sell it for several months at $130 and no ones interested.
You can spend a million dollars polishing a turd but at the end of the day all you have is a polished turd.
