Did you see the FEJ one that John Monaghan had done for KY Jets. Very cool.

I found another book which may be of interest to many Hawk builders looking for different colour schemes, inc trainers, T45 GosHawk. and 100, 200 and LIFT series Hawks. :

Air Data no I, BAe Systems Hawk by Andy Evans,, ~Published by SAM publications ISBN 0-9551858-7-4

Has almost all operators schemes up to 2008, except Red Arrows. Includes many useful walk-round shots.

Cost was £10.

Chris,

I discovered this scheme buried deeeeeep in the internet a few years back and put it on my Skygate Hawk. I was only able to find 4 photos so I doubt you'll find a raft of info. Up to you regarding which colours you like but mine are accurate - when I spoke to Johnny he told me his were a little more 'how he wanted it to look'.

Have a look here http://rcudev.rcuniverse.com/forum/m..._3/key_/tm.htm

I'll post some more pics this weekend if you need any?

If you do copy it, don't do what Skymaster did and copy the running numbers too - I made them up to be my son's date of birth 25/09/05 :-)

Cheers,
Mark

You are going to really like the way the FEJ Hawk looks and flies. Hope to have mine in time to get it ready for Georgia Jets.[8D]

Hi Thomas

Unfortunately the owner of that model passed away a couple of years ago :-(

The scheme is the Indonesian Air Force scheme. Refer to my post above re colours/details.

ohh, not nice to hear ...
But i found the plane at florida jets 2012, have a look at row 12: [link=http://www.franktiano.com/Fljets/FlJets12_1album/index.htm]FJ2012[/link]http://www.franktiano.com/Fljets/FlJets12_1album/index.htm
The official scheme of indonasia i don't like, but the shown in post #1 is the colour i like. That must not be full scale, but i need some detail photos for the stickers ...
Found the information that the original TNI-AU (LL-5304) was crashed in 1984

best regards
Thomas

Skymaster has a very good finish and scale detail, the detail on fly eagle is not nearly as good as the skymaster hawk, plus the skymaster has much nicer and accurate looking cockpit & pilots.
That being said the FEJ is signicantly lighter as in over 10 lbs lighter than the skymaster and they offer more factory options such as light kit install.

Hi All

We already accepted order request with lights installation.Below photos show the Hawk lights installation we recently finished.

The scale details and scale landing gear with bigger wheels do increase the weight of kit.120mm wheels require bigger and stronger gear so that wheels can be retracted successfully. All these have to sacrifice the weight.

Best regards

John

10 lbs lighter than the Skymaster? So the FEJ Hawk weighs around 25 lbs???? Where are you getting this info?

I personally have weighed both kits the honey comb FEJ hawk to an all white skymaster hawk.

10lb difference sounds high given that the SM Hawk isn't over built and somewhat delicate in areas. Not saying I dont believe you... just surprised. What is the weight of the FEJ Hawk?

FEJ is at 31 lbs
Skymaster was at 40 lbs and some oz, I don't know what the original full fiberglass fef was but he honey comb knocked the weight down big time esp. the wings.

My SM Hawk weighs 35lbs dry. Not sure how you got to 40lbs on an unbuilt plane.

Than you either have an older version of the hawk or had a special light weight hawk,

here is mine before I sold it:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemID=854755

mind you the 41 lbs was complete weight the air tanks, valves, cockpit 2 pilots, the uninstalled light kit, speed brake and all it was 40 lbs and some oz

the fef with the same items is right at 31 lbs.
