Default 2 speed question

I have never heard my tmaxx 2.5 shift to 2nd gear. I have tried tuning and playing with the screw in the tranny. Any ideas? I purchased it used . Could it have a single speed conversion or does the gear with the screws mean it has a 2 speed?

Sometimes it is hard to hear it kick into 2nd gear especially where you run like grass and dirt the easiest way to hear and see it hit 2nd gear is take the truck to a wide open parking lot and nail the throttle from a dead stop and do a high speed pass wide open and you should be able to hear and see it hit 2nd hope this helps let us know if you have any luck.

I will try it when I put the tranny back in the truck.  I thought I might take it apart just to see if anything looks wrong.

Sometimes your slipper will slip enough to make it almost impossible to hear the shift.
