Default Navigation Lighting

I got this idea to wire up my own navigational light kit. I have bought the LED's and the Resistors, but have not put everything together yet. Iknow I can wire it directly to the main power supply from the battery, but the lights will be on all the time. I am planning on putting the lights on the Blade SR Helicopter. I would like to be able to hook them up to the receiver soI can control them with the transmitter. Would this be possible with the stock transmitter? Iknow it is a six channel transmitter, and without the gyro, Iam only using five of them.I just don't know how to go about using that last channel to control them.

Does anyone have any advice, or another way Icould have the lights be controlled by the transmitter?

The [link=http://www.dimensionengineering.com/PicoSwitch.htm]PicoSwitch[/link] looks like a solution to your problem. Use this to turn your lights on or off via the transmitter.
