Default Upgrade questions

Iwas wondering if upgrading to an 3 peice aluminum clutch would be any better than the stock clutch shoes I have on now. My truck will run fine but still creeps forward when stoped sometimes. Sometimes it will stop and not move and sometimes it will crawl forward. It is weird it does it on its own. The idle speed is set as low as possible.

Also I wanted to upgrade my spur gear and clutch bell to improve my low end performance. I was thinking of an 20 tooth clutch bell and I was unsure of which spur size to get I want my low end to be snappy with my high end slightly quick. I already ordered a tuned exhaust which im sure will help with my overall performance.

One last concern, When I tried to throw the truck in reverse it went in reverse and would not go back to forward very easily. It took some messing around with and it was very frustrating. Itook the body off and realized the servo was tweaking out when I tried to change gears. Any solutions to this?

A three shoe will always help, or you could try a 2 shoe aluminum setup from dynamite. I have both and they work great.

I have the black tranny case. I replaced my clutch spring also so that is not the issue.

i think the biggest spur you can go to with the black tranny is a 76t

Oh ok what is the advantage of a bigger spur compared to a smaller one? Better top end performance?

I took the truck to the local dirt bike jumps. It was tons of fun until I let a friend drive it around. He floored it off a huge jump and nearly broke the whole front end. So for now im waiting on a whole heap of parts to come in I decided to go with aluminum arms, and a bunch more stuff. This thing will be hard core by the time im done with it.

ha ha very funny...

but for the rolling idle problem i think you need to replace the spring/springs for your clutch. new strong springs will allow the truck to not roll forward and the springs will be able to pull the shoes back in when you go to idle.
