just installed traxxas big bores on tmaxx and now it sags
what could be the problem? the truck sags like crazy. the stock shocks with blue integy springs never sagged like this and had plenty of recoil. i put in the silicone fluid they sent with them and blah they sag. when u pull the truck back up it stays but if you push down on it is stays down. any help will be appreciated.

i am thinking your springs are not stiff enough or the oil in your shocks has too high of a viscosity and the springs cannot push the truck back up.<div>i would reccomend stiffer springs first of all</div>

first of all bolt the shocks to the farthest out position on the lower a arm. People confuse that bolting it closer the the center of the truck will make it sit higher, when actually you are give the arm move leverage to compress the spring. just try it- scott
also move the upper position all the way out

Don't forget that springs do wear out over time... So, a combination of older springs and new, presumably thicker fluid will do that. Go get the blue stiff springs for it on each corner. Changing springs is cake, no need to take towers off.

thanks guys. i changed the fluid and springs and didnt take the towers off. i sat there and it was still doing similar with the sag. then i remembered that when i had trouble with the front end i just loosened up the caps on the ball ends on the knuckles and it loosened up. i took a look at the rear ones and they were mega tight. i loosened them up a lil and viola perfect. i put 30 weight shock oil to replace the stuff traxxas gave me.

You replaced 30 wt with 30 wt? I had to put in 60 wt oil to get mine working right. I could've changed the pistons, but oil was easier. I put my stock springs on the big bores.

I run 40WT in my maxx and it's perfect. 60WT would be too stiff IMO.

I had the exact same problems with my big bores with I bought them. This helped me though. I will try some of this when I get back home. I just figured I had air in them or something stupid but I knew I had filled them all the way.
