I would use 17 mm on a maxx. They'll hold way more power than that maxx can dish out, plus you'll have alot morewheel/tire options.

You might be able to get it to work but you will need to know the size of a tmaxx axle stub and savage axle stub. From there you can continue.

I see. Well I think maxx and savage have the same size axle, but like reaper said check into it.

according to HPI these adapters will work for the savages. and according to everyone in the world maxx's and savages are the same axels. so i would just assume that these will work. but i know what happens when assumption is a part of the equation. haha....the savy in the new RC driver is just awesome looking....i just have to have it....I usually dont get to excited about a hop-up but i am definitly obsessed with this one. the price of the baja 5b wheels and tires are in the upper range. probably just go with the 17mm.

If you want them see what it takes to use them. If it was me I would ebay some baja wheels and buy these tires.

I think I have a unused axle stub I can measure for you. Then all you need to do is get the info for a savage XL. I don't know how much is the same between the savage X and the XL but there are some differences. Maybe throw a post in the savage section and see if someone can help. I think it would be about 100-150 dollars to do this.
