RE: TT01 with 550 motor
Some people have had issues with the shaft being too long (somewhat of an easy fix) and some have had them be a bit too long for the chassis (maybe not so easy to fix)

RE: TT01 with 550 motor
I just bought the tt-01 and am looking at the same thing..... It looks like the Mamba monster 1/10 5400 will drop right in.. (according to spec regaurding motor dimensions.) Also I'm thinking that the alum. drive shaft is a must. And probably ball bearings in place of the plastic. Am I on the right track? Is there anything else to worry about?
P.S. Don't mean to take over this tread.... Just putting out my findings as well...

Yeah, that's what I thought when I was putting together the kit.......... PLASTIC BEARINGS??? Also, is re-gearing going to be needed with a (much) quicker motor? I don't like that motor mouinting set up either. wondering if there are differant options, a mount that lets you mesh the gears yourself.

RE: TT01 with 550 motor
I thought when i put the 550 motor it was alot snappier. and 100 times better than stock.
But on another note i will be building a new tt01 ewith all the upgrades. Here some that i bought yesterday can't wait for the rest of my parts to come in.
