Fried flash unit
Wondered why my flash unit had suddenly stopped working...It got fried. Do I care? Not really,
I was never that impressed with it anyway, and I can’t be bothered to find the cause. I think it might have shorted via the strobe, but who knows.<p class="MsoNormal">The rest of the MF-01 unit is working ok so I’m happy. It now gives me a chance to work on a new project...The Smoking Gun.

If you purchased from Tamiya or its representative, try returning it for a replacement. There are several accounts of Tamiya replacing electronics parts for free if the original is returned.

Not usually so with the flash units. The DMD's and MF units yes Flash, no. Had one go after about 2 hours of use when I first got my Panther G. Had to buy a new one.

RE: Fried flash unit
It might be worth a try, as the fried parts are inside the MF...I'll give the guys I bought it from a call and see what they say...Anyway, thanks for the heads up guys.
