the only things that are worth while in hop-ups are better electronics, rpm arms and aluminum chassis braces, everything else just adds weight and price.
many times shocks will get damaged in a collision that destroys the arms, so replacing with plastic is much less painful.
also dont get aluminum arms, towers or posts, you want those to be weak spots, instead of those breaking you break bulkheads, diff covers and chassis pieces- which are MUCH harder to replace.
upgrade wisely.

Yea, the stockers are pretty decent as is. All Ive done to mine for racing was different oil and I replaced the rear springs with Emaxx white progressives.

whats up slash guys ive just ran my 1/16th slash with the velinion system and its cool but im wandering if the c-4 dynamite 800kv moyotr would be quicker? its half the size as the traxxas does that mean it is not strong enuff?

The lower the KV you get the bigger the battery you need.
