I'm thinkin of making an 8 cell 1500mAh NiCD battery out of some old NiCD 6 cell batteries. Is it even worth doing it with such a low mAh output? I don't really know what I'm doing, just an idea I had to try to get some extra power into my pede.

not worth the time or hassle, unless you just want to practice building batts

If you already have the battery bars...go for it.
I do stuff like that too. Built a 4 cell to break in brushed motors.

Yeah, I tried it for fun. The 8-cell I built was wimpier than my newer 6 cells. I wonder how that's possible?

because 8 crappy batteries isn't better than 6 decent ones

Smiff, I like the idea of a "break in" battery. I also made a different 8 cell with my old NiCD 1500's and it was definitely worth it, it doesn't last long but my pede flies while it lasts. The first one I made was apparently with some bad cells.
