I don't think this thread may be as poplar as the other ones but here it its if you need tb03 help.
Mine has some upgrades, arta garayia shell, 8.5t ezrun 4000kv motor powered by 3s lipo.
Its a blast to drive and love the sound the shaft makes at high speed

so an uneven drive shaft makes cool noises?

Look for a noise that sounds like a wobble and then check the gearbox's bevel gears.

i roled the centershaft as you said, no wobbling. Some say itts a characteristic of a shaft car with a smooth drivetrain.

sounds similar but because he has twice the power and more so he's is louder. But the sounds seems to goabit once the tires have stop squelling and gain grip. Anway its pretty cool, it scares all the belt driven car drivers when they hearthe tbon the track

the cf deck has been ordered so its not on my to get list, wainting for it to come. I dont like the alloy rear lightweight swing shafts, bend to easily, so i am getting steel 44mm for front and back for the tb03.
By the way, if you were to remove the front cvd and drive your 4wd touring car so its 2wd is it going to be slower?

this car can take on trf416's and xray t3's if set up properly.
I heard a story from a friend with a tb03 who drove his tb among other cf belt cars and was very succesful. The track owner was impressed and bought a tb03. The track owner was so impressed he sold his xray t3 to get another tb03.
Many guys over at rctech are having good success with the chassis, several hopups are needed to get the car to perform that great.

I have got it running again 2 weeks ago, installed a 3s LIPO yesterday and it flies. The 4000kv motor is working well. I think it does 50mph which is enough for the meanwhile. I know have enough parts to build 2 more diffs but all the dff problems have now gone away [&:].
Need more tires
If i can i will take a video when i go to play indoor soccer tonight in the parking lot.

RE: Official Tamiya TB03 Thread
The ezrun motors and esc are very tolerable to heat (under the right applications) it took me 12 months to smoke a 35amp esc geared 1.25 rollout. It went very hot but never quite.
What i like about ezruns is that the motor wires plugs always melt off before you damage your motor in my experience. I have now geared down from 1.25 rollout to around 1.05.
Gearing is so weird, some times you have to stick to 0.9-1.1 rollout and sometimes you can gear to the moon.

Sorry Haddi, you have totally lost me on your gear ratio numbers. Tonight I will start another article; finding your car's gear ratio and Final Drive Ratio, no matter what type of vehicle it is. Yes, there's a math formula for that. Stay tuned . . .

Cool I will be looking forward to that. I was taught to gear to 0.9-1.1 rollout and gear down or up according to heat build up.
