E-Maxx Battery Tray Dimensions (3903 etc.)
Hey guys,
I've searched and searched trying to find this info, but can't. I don't actually have my E-Maxx in hand yet, but I'd like to go ahead and order some Li-Po cells for it and I'd like to know if any of you would be kind enough to measure your battery tray and post dimensions here in this thread?
Thanks for your time, I appreciate it.

The width is alil hard to measure b/c they slant in but I got about 47-48mm wide and length is about 171.45mm. Length usually isn't a problem. It does come with a few different straps for different height battery's but nothing a dremel can't fix.
The E-Maxx is designed for packs that have the wires that come out in the middle end of the battery like these turnigy's.

But I have fit turnigy nano-tech 45-90c 5000mah 3s lipo that has the wires that come out the side and that battery fits right in. The listed dimensions are wrong for the battery but a reviewer listed the right size.
This is my exact battery.

They fit tight but will sqeeze in using the included taller battery straps.

RE: E-Maxx Battery Tray Dimensions (3903 etc.)
Thank you very much for taking the time to measure your battery tray for me. It's greatly appreciated. You stated that these trucks are designed for batteries with leads exiting the side of the battery, but I wonder if these would work fine?: http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-30c-53...-hardcase.html Also, I'm sure the hard case provides excellent protection for the cells, but do you think I'd run into problems using packs from Gens Ace that don't have hard case protection? Or do you think there's too much play/slop with the provided battery tie downs/straps, which could cause damage to the cells? Thanks again for sharing.
