HI Scott, a couple of points
1-when ever you rub the surface with rubbing alcohol or Varsol, you will have to apply a finishing compound to bring back the gloss.
2- Aeropoxy can be removed with heat, but you have to be really cautious. You can open up a fuel tank, that was joined together with aeropoxy, with a hot air gun, bin their.
3- It is best to find a scrap part, with some aeropoxy on it, and try that first
just my 2 cents

PS, I know the finger print can drive you nuts, but the heat could warp the surface.

BOZO !!!!!!!
If it is dry, try raising the aeropoxy with your fingernail. Many times epoxy will not stick to a slick surface.

3M Black Beauty will take it off with a little elbow grease and preserve the shine. to save this happening in the future, a few coats of wax on painted surfaces before starting assembly keeps most of these type glue accidents off the paint.

I have to laugh about that, since I know your pain. If it's on top of clear coat try to get something with a sharp edge to lift it up. If it's in a area of flexibility that makes it even easier.

My SM came from the factory with fingerprints already applied... and it wasn't even the pro version
