Failsafe setup (rx8/airtronicsTX)
I finished my revo 3.3 BL conversion and the thing rips but I'm a little conserned about the default failsafe. I have a tekin rx8 esc and a airtronics mx-3fg(2.5ghz).
My issue is that the failsafe is set to neutral and when I go out of range the car just glides at whatever speed it was doing. Which is not safe enough for me.
Now I've done some searching and my transmitter can be set, during binding, to give a reverse signal as a failsafe. I would assume that while driving and loosing signal, the rx8 will read the reverse signal as brake since it will only reverse after being at rest for a second. I'll also assume that if I loose signal while the truck is at rest the reverse code will cause the truck to actually go in reverse. This sounds even more unsafe.
Is there anyway to set up a failsafe thru the esc/tx/rx that will brake only? Is there any addon electronics that can do that for me?
A mech brake or killing reverse is not an option at this point.
