Default Light Buckets? Painters tape? shell fix tape? glue?

I am curious what people use to keep light buckets on their RC. I figure eventually I will have to respray the buckets chrome from wear and tear of me putting in and taking out LED (I highly doubt this though), but dont know what people use to keep the buckets on their RC. I dont want to ducktape it up then have to respray and have the tape rip off all the body paint.

Sorry I should have specified, I have the headlights that go inside the shell for normal headlights. The shell came with headlight buckets which I have already sprayed chrome, but I am unsure of the "correct" way to keep them attached to the body

I used shoo goo on my on-road, and SCX10, and it seems to be holding good
