DFW Track - wanting to build one

DFW Track - wanting to build one
This is for folks in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It seems we are extremely lacking for places to race around here (please correct me if you know of places other than Mike's) and consequently am considering investing in building a track, ideally west of Dallas (any place from Irving to west FW).

I've spoken with quite a few fellow hobbyists in Tarrant county, and I can assure you there is a HUGE demand for a place to race around here. We can easily get the support of LHS (I've spoken to the owners at Bill's and JT's) and they both tell me this area is just begging for a track.

I'm essentially looking for someone with land in this area. I'm happy to cover the building of the track as well as the logistics of getting it staffed and started. Not looking to buy land - nor lease it. Simply if you have a some available/unused land - I can work toward turning it into a revenue stream where you can enjoy the profits.
Even if you have land you don't want to open up to the public, but would like a cool track on it, let me know as I'm happy to get one built we can both enjoy; a win-win. ;-)

Please pm me if you are interested or know anyone who might be.

Thanks!

You really need to post this over at RCTech. That's where the racers are.
BTW, someone tried to start a track in the Ft. Worth area last year and it didn't seem to take off.

RE: DFW Track - wanting to build one
Thanks for the link (Iseen similar "we need a new track in DFW" threads on the Internet).
Again- not looking to make a "business" out of it, although if it lends itself to that, so be it. Really just inquiring who has some land that is in non-use and is interested in funds to build a track on it - as I assure you folks here WILL go to it. I talked with Roy (from Roy's on Bedford/Euless Rd) the other day and he was telling me he had thought of purchasing the land right next to his shop to build a track but the owner wanted an insane amount for it - and that is some prime real-estate, so I can understand the cost.He mentioned he's been flooded with inquiries as to "where can I race around here?" so believe the demand is there. As mentioned, not looking to "make a buck" but instead simply toinvest in something I feel is a need here (and feel confident I can get a return in the first year).
We have a lake house in Oklahoma, and I'm tempted to build something nominal there, simply for my personal use - but it's 2.5 hours away.
I did speak with one gentleman who is with anRC airplane club here (Great Southwest or something) andhe mentioned they are considering building a track on their property. Even something like that, I'd consider going in on.
Anyway, if anyone is interested in discussing this, please PM me.
Thanks!
