Need help with Traxxas Bandit - already...hehe
Ok, so I was running my Bandit just a bit ago and sumthin' happened....
It was sitting still and then I accidentally went in reverse (our resident pre-teen was standing over it and I was telling him not to since it's not a toy - but since he's 12 he thinks he knows everything and I was getting flustered with him) and backed it into the curb. (I was on-road...with on-road tires, of course.) It didn't travel far or very fast, but now when I run it forward the it makes a screeching noise - both when the wheels are free spinning or on a surface, but on a surface the motor won't drive the wheels (so it doesn't move). It will, however run in reverse...with a bit of screeching, but not much.
Now I'm thinking that it may be the slipper clutch and that it got loosened with the hit against the curb. I'm checking that right now - going to tighten itand then give it one full turn counter-clockwise (per the manual).
Does anyone have any other ideas...or am I actually (probably) right on this one? (That'd be a surprise if I am...hehe.)<br type="_moz" />

Ok....I've got it fingered out.<div>
</div><div>Apparently the hit loosened up the motor enough so that the pinion and spur gear would not mesh up properly, causing the teeth to be misaligned.</div><div>
