Default DA50R won't pump gas

Just finished a new plane and flipped and flipped............would not start. Started going through all the what ifs.................after disassembling the whole front end and gas tank, which all looked fine. I started looking at the carb. LOOK AT THE GASKET!!!!!!!!!! NO PULSE HOLES!!!!!!!!!!! DA owes me a case of beer.

Question? Should there be 2 holes in the gasket or one. I need to check and see when DA is going to be set up at the Joe Nall. You can flip until your arm falls off.......this thing will not pump gas!

The tube in your picture running from the carb to the reed clock is the pulse line. If it were me I would take the pump cover off ( The one with a single phillips head screw ) and make sure the flapper valves are not stuck. Pour a small amount of gas in the resivoir where the screen is and put back together. You may want to pull the opposite cover and make sure the meetering needle is not stuck.

The carb in your picture is plumbed wrong.

The line in the picture is the pulse line and it connects to the elbow fitting in the pump cover.

The fitting you have it connected to on the side of the carb goes to the clunk line in the gas tank.

The carb gasket is not supposed to have pulse holes.

You now owe me a case of beer?

Thanks speedracer. But, look at the gasket. There are no little holes in it to let the vacuum pressure through and to suck the diagram and pump gas. There should be hole(s) in the gasket that match up with the pulse holes in the carb and reed block. correct?

You are correct. Good catch, I obviously missed that.
