Beef up the wing with triangle stock so you don't blow the wing when you land. Just use it between the mounts and the ribs to make the mounting points stronger. Use epoxy to glue them in.

I would also make some half ribs out of 1/8 plywood to sandwhich the ribs with to add additional strength to the mounting block area.

Hello,
Here are Some pics of My 1/5th Giant Scale P-51D From Top Flite ( Builders Kit )
The Landing Retracts Are mounted As Per Instuctions .
I added (1 ) extra Plywood Rib ( 3 / !6 ) Thick to each side ..
The Rails are ( 1/4" by 1/2 " ) thick , Hardwood. The Rails run from the leading edge to the main spar.

I used Super "slow Cure " ( over- night ) Epoxy . to let it soak in.

I used a Dremel Router Tool to clean and level the rails for a snug fit . Button Head Wood Screws were used .

Hope This Helps ,
Later,
Mark K.

Question : I have a DLE 55 on it, the prop range is 22x8 to 22x10, rigth now i´m flying it with a xoar 22 x 10 but want to know if a master clasic 20x10 will work on this combo, I use this master prop on a zenoah 63 and works great but I don´t know if it will work on the DLE 55...
