Muffler keeps loosening up
My 91AC keeps losing its muffler. Got any advice on keeping it tight against the head....short of using JB Weld? LOL

Drill thru the bolt heads and lockwire.

Here is what I do. Put header pipe on head and secure nut. Bench run motor. After it is warmed up, give header nut an 8th turn (or so) tighter and you shouldn't have any more problems.
Good Luck,

I've had a lot of people use Jimmy's suggestion with great results.

RE: Muffler keeps loosening up
Put a couple of wraps of thin white teflon pipe tape on the threads and then use the above suggestions.
