Default New Aero Tech Epoxy Glue 50ml JP2012

I have been working with a UK company called Deluxe Materials for most of this year on a new epoxy glue they were developing. Early samples were not anywhere near as good as 9462 Hysol/Aeropoxy) but we continued to develop the product learning as we went...I did a lot of joints testing and I'm now happy with the end result. We will release it at Jetpower this weekend. Hysol and Aeropoxy has become so expensive to get here, this has a good saving. It comes in the same 50ml cartridges and includes 1 mixer nozzle. Also there is a 25ml twin shot version for those hand mix/tacking jobs you just want a small amount of glue
Its gels in 3-4 hours and 24 hours its fully set.

Good stuff! What sort of price are we looking at?

I have half a dozen tubes of "some sort of aeropoxy" on my shopping list for this weekend!

Any of you used fastweld epoxy before? I had to use it out at the field to make a repair. Handles just like hysol, but hardens in ten minutes. Its $25 for a 9oz tube... or $10 for the reg 50ml cartridge. I'm curious Dave, did you do any strength testing with this product? I was really impressed with the strength, but it doesn't take a lot to impress me...LOL

No scale pulls, just 40 years modelling tugging, twisting etc! I did peel and bend tests. The original one with too brittle when set and I could flex an epoxy fuselage and "pop" a former. We added some flex and other magic stuff to increase the bond strength.

Dave: Congrats on your good work...always need good less expensive adhesives. In LV we are using West Systems 610...comes in caulking gun size two part tube with a mixing nozzle. The good news is that it is about $20 here for the larger quantity and seems as strong as Hysol...made for the fiberglass boat applications. It has the same consistancy as Hysol and the same cure profile. Don't know if you can get it in the UK but it might be yet another alternative to add to your list.
