Default Tiger 60 w/DLE 20

Has any of you put a DLE in a Tiger 60. It's being converted to tail drager and getting a bash job. Engine has been raised (thrust line) for added prop clearance and it looks like it's going to need a 16" prop so I need to know how long a gear I will need that will mount on a 4" wide fuse. under belly. All help is welcome, thanks.

How much did you raise the motor? The Du-Bro Super Strength gives me 2" clearance with the tail up and 2.75 tires and a 14" prop....

Raising the engine will have some adverse effects on the performance.
The tiger was used for many year as a simple pattern primer. The airframe benefited from a couple of simple mods:
Extending the rear fuselage/tail plane/fin 2" further back, larger rudder etc. One was lowering the engine thrust line 1". I did all of these on the smaller T2, very good results. For the larger T60 the engine was lowered 1.5".
If you want ground clearence, just use higher after market UC's.

David I should have said I'm also raising the wing 3/4" and they will will be plug in kinda like a 300. the whole top foward 1/2 of fuse. is reworked and the shortened conopy section is removable for easy access of servos, batt's. and wing attachments " Oh", did I say it's being bashed some. I'm not worried about the changes, this will be no kitty cat when finished but it will still have the great flying traits it's known for.

Bill you can see where I'm at on the build on the last couple pages at Kit Builders site under Goldberg Tiger Club, you may find it intresting. It's a fun build for me.

Bill it should be easy to find, in RCAirplanes in the Kit Builders Forume, under Intresred? I'm bashing a Tiger 60.

It is a very unique build of this plane, wish I could do the URL thing. Leroy

Found it.

I tried doing a search for it and came up empty. Seems the built-in search function leaves a lot to be desired!

I will follow along now!
