2wd vs 4wd
What is the speed difference between a 2wd and 4wd on solid flat ground, mildly rough terrain and really rough terrain. Can a 2wd climb, how well compared to a 4wd, could it make it up a 45 degree incline as easy as a 4wd? I am sorry for asking so many questions.

It's hard to compare stadium trucks to monster trucks in way of performance, as I've seen a couple of times in these threads. You need to put the HPI MT against the RC10 or equivalent. I would hope any race truck would smoke a monster truck on track conditions. I think a 4wd will have more control off the line. My $.02

To get my GT to jump a double takes a lot of planning and speed, but for the 4wd electric bunch, they just line up and squirt right over.
If all things are the same, 2wd will have a higher top speed that a 4wd.

i have a losi gtx 2wd, and when im goin about 20mph and punch it, it starts to fishtale and spinout, its very hard to control, my buddy has a tmaxx and it doesnt fishtale at all unless u start to turn left and right fast, overall i would like to have a 4wd, but i can smoke him in just about anything except climbing and snow driving lol

There's that Monster vs. Stadium issue again. You just can't compare a 7# truck to a 4# truck with the same engine. As for your getting squirrely, just use a little throttle control. In loose conditions it is hard to get good bite but you can still get loose on high grip surfaces. I used to have a XXXNT with a Picco .12 that would go over backwards if I stomped on it at 20 if it had good traction. However, I raced very competitively on a slick surface. Its like driving a real car, in the snow you don't stomp the gas.

Man, I remember when I first bought an Losi xx4, I thought I was a kick ass driver It was so easy to drive compared to an 2wd buggy. And I could run a hotter mod motor and still remain in control. :surprised
