I have a set of Hanger 9 1/4 Scale Floats that I want to beef up a bit..I want to put another layer of glass on the bottom of the floats and I am wondering if I need to sand all the paint off first or if I can just roughen it up a bit and apply the glass rite over top....

Hi mate if no structural cracks in the floats i would sand them with 80/120 grit paper then solvent clean and lay your glass up.

Nope these are brand new , no cracks..Thanks for the reply..I will go ahead and glass them...
