X4 Charger help
Ok,,, I am new to the eletric venue and never really had anything better than the basic radio chagers for the Tx & Rx with glow.
I purchased a Hitec X4 acdc and happy with the purchase... now to use it.
I started with a basic new transmitter battery at 9.6v, 600mah, with a charge rating at 50mah for 15 hrs or 180 mah for 5 hours "fast charge'.
Setting up for a one discharge/chage cycle I set up as follows in the picures......
As you can see from the results,,, very little end result discharge /Charge capacity reported.

RE: X4 Charger help
Check that you've entered the correct discharge information for your battery in the charger menu i.e cut off voltage (based on 1V/cell) and discharge current typically 0.5C to 1C. Charge current sounds about right. Use individual charge and discharge programmes for the time being until you get used to setting up the menus.

RE: X4 Charger help
so 0.5C on a 600 mah would be 300mah (C/2) or 0.3 amps?<div></div><div>I am using the default minimum min. voltage per cell I guess.... which in the manual says 0.85 for a NiCad. FOr Nicad it doesn't ask for the number of cells so I am guessing it is pre programmed based upon the voltage to know on nicad and Nimh batteries. On LiPo settings it does have a menu item for number of cells. </div><div></div><div>I would rather smoke an inexpensive nicad than learn this thing on the expensive lipo and life batteries. The manual is somewhat ambiguous. the charger is impressive.</div><div></div><div>Does it look like I put the settings correctly? </div>
