RE: ESKY LAMA 4 THREAD
Hi Bill, Yes, the roll test will tell you if the shafts are turning true, rolling them on a flat surface such as glass (it's what I use). The "A" and "B" gears I'm referring to are the large plastic gears that are attached to the shafts. The gears you see on the motors are referred to as "pinions." Let me know how the roll test turns out.

Thanks Mike,
Again... newbie here. What do you mean by roll test? Do you mean just pull it out of the helicopter and roll it along a flat surface to see if it rolls straight?
And the A and B gear? Are you talking about the gears on the motors? (and the gears that attach to the gears on the motors of course)
Thanks again,
Bill

Same as V4. Careful reinstalling that brass washer. As noted, it has a lip on it that is very hard to see.

RE: ESKY LAMA 4 THREAD
Hi all,
I have been away from here for a long time but I have come back looking for some help.
I am rebuilding the V4 for my son to fly as I am moving on to a FP heli....
I have rebuilt it to standard spec with xtreme blades as the only upgrade
My problem is that while it hovers virtually hands fee, when pressed into forward flight, it banks off to the right as well and needs a lot of left input to correct it....
I seem to remember it previously flying in more of a straight forward manner although its been a while....
Any ideas?

ss2fly try coming up (extend) the push rod that controls the aileron. I would go one turn CCW at a time. Keep count. The AIL is on the right as you view the heli from the rear. At this point, you may have to come down on the ELE on the left side by one turn CW. If you are still having trouble google "Klondikes Swash Plate Leveling Tutorial." Good luck.

RE: ESKY LAMA 4 THREAD
Sorry...
I have a broken hand with about 8 smashed bones in it.
Very painfull with not much hope of it ever functioning properly again.
Please excuse me for my late reply but I think you will understand why.
I managed to get it to fly superbly again thanks to the advise given here. Once again this proves it is the place to be for R/C...
Thanks again
Andy.

Andy...WOW, Dude, so sorry about your hand. I'd ask you how it happened but, that would mean more typing for you. Glad you are back in the air. Check back in when you are feeling better. Today is Thanksgiving here in the USA. Hoping you heal fast...

Ok, I have seen some of the OLD post on parts to upgrade the Lama. My question is as follows:
What is the flybar used in the turboshaft video where it shows the heli flying outside or what is a good flybar to buy and where at?
what is the part number for the longer servo horns?
my cocomanche has almost zero forward flight. It's a neet heli but def needs some mods.
Thanks,
Chris

1.It is of unique Modern design, and with high simulation.
2.Suitable for indoor flight, and the best choice for beginners.
3.Lifting pulley and culvert way tail rotor design, make the flight is full of more fun
4.The flying lane is graceful, and it can respond quickly.
5.Just open the packing without debugging, and install batteries, then it can fly.
