Hi David,
It is very strange to hear this, as I had no tucking tendencies with the Revision that Built at all. I flew it both soft and hard, slow and fast and it felt as solid in pitch as it did roll.
Ws any inverted flight tried? Did it require lots of down elevator to hold? Or was it pretty neutral?
Regards Al

Ali,

Inverted was 15% forward stick and roll was axial. No one is more surprised than me as I was expecting a easy flight test.

regards

David

David,
It could be that ,thrust line is slightly off. It is quite sensitive on thrust line. fixed by lift up the front end of the thrust tube by 1-2mm. Hope this help.

Kumpol,
thank you for your input and we shall put it into the mix.
One question re the plastic packing piece in the tail mount. Is it there to correct incidence and what is the incidence of mainplane and tail plane meant to be as design?
I am going to check these with a gauge sometime this week but I am very busy at present and it may not be till the end of the week.

Best regards

David

PS This will get sorted we just need to know how at present.

Hi,
Just in case anyone was thinking after the reversal the flight path down was not powered ie engine at tickover ( 120 SX ) so it is suggested that thrust line issues are eliminated.

I can confirm the tendancy to 'tuck under', it is quite marked as the speed builds.
Quite scary....[X(]

Hi,
I have measured the incidence on the tail plane to main plane and the tail is +1deg to the main plane when the main is horizontal.

Kumpol can you confirm please that the factory setting is for this set up please. It will require quite a bit of packing to achieve this so I would rather be sure if possible.

Given this configuration it would perhaps bear out John Palmers theory of an incidence issue. Especially when tucking in with no power but accelerating on the downward dive from reversal.

Thank you for your help

Regards

David

I know this is an old thread, but is there any update on the PST Revision? Any improvement in the kit etc....?

Thanks
