new digital camera?
i had a sony cd digi cam and well it's got a short in it and to look at the damn thing they want almost as much as it would cost to buy a new camera.
so i am hoping some of you have agood but affordable digital camera that takes clean action shots.
the camera i had/have was pricey as can be but always took blurred action shots.
so what can i get to take clear shots in motion.
at least a 2.2 or greater megapixel.
thanks

RE: new digital camera?
Check out Olympus. Since many of the stores around here now carry 5 megapixel digital cameras, the 2-3 megapixel cameras are pretty cheap. However, some of the older cameras tend to have slower shutter speeds and are more media limited. It also doesn't suprise me if your pictures were blurred if you were trying to shoot at a high megapixel range since even most retail digital camcorders appear to be below 1 megapixel.

RE: new digital camera?
I compared all the 5 megapixel camera before (Sony, Olympus, Cannon) which allows for program selection and can be used as an SLR camera. I walked away with a Cannon S50 and very happy with it. I have taken a family photo and got it printed out for 11x14. The picture did not loose any resolution. It also uses a CF card as opposed to SD or XD. Granted the CF is slower and bigger than the SD, CF is more universal. I use CF on my Ipaq PDA so showing the pics with bigger screen is more convinient.
I would recommend at least 3 megapixel.

I have the Fuji 3800 digital, its a very fun camera, kinda pricey but a person gets what he pays for. Here's a picture I took this last summer, I love the detail this camera gets.

shOzz I also forgot to mention that alot has to do with shutterspeed also. I've captured several lightening shots with a much slower digital(1.3megapixel) than with the fuji 3800. But in the long run it really just boils down to simple patience, trial and error.

Usually members are encouraged to stick to R/C related discussions (things get out of hand very quickly).
But, I'm assuming you want a camera to take videos/pictures of your cars/trucks.

RE: new digital camera?
u got it ram, i have a great 35mm and had a great digi but it sucked at capturing my cars in still shots, as far as video it did great for that till it died.
so i am curious what everyone else is using to snap shots of there cars in action and also hoping to get some cool rc car action shots posted up.
