CARBON FIBER TUBING - now in stock at ServoCity
http://www.servocity.com/html/carbon_fiber_tubing.html
#635010 - 1/2" OD x 48" L : $35.99
#635016 - 1" OD x 48" L : $69.99
Now you can incorporate carbon fiber tubing in your Actobotics creation! Carbon Fiber (sometimes known as graphite fiber) is an extremely strong and lightweight fiber-reinforced polymer. Carbon Fiber material is commonly used wherever a high strength-to-weight ratio and rigidity are required (i.e. aerospace, automotive, sporting goods, robots, quad-copters, and civil engineering). Other useful properties include its ability to withstand high temperatures and its inertness. The molecular structure is very stable, giving it a high melting point and making it less likely to react chemically with other substances; making it useful for components that may be subjected to heat and for applications that require resistance to corrosion. Sold in 48” lengths that can be cut to your custom length. To cut carbon fiber use an abrasive cutoff wheel or 32 teeth per inch hacksaw. We offer many clamps and collars that will work with these tubes.
