Default Converting the EuroSport a Scale Model

Hi,

My winter project is going to be the conversion of my EuroSport to a scale scheme/detailing.

I'm about to start collecting reference material and wondered if anyone had any good websites/books or other sources detailing panel lines/hatches/rivets etc

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Mark

Mark,
There are quite a few sites with photos to help. Go to google and do a "Eurofighter" search. Try this one to start.....

Here's a link to a thread on the old site where a gentleman from England converted a Eurosport to a scale Typhoon in the British gloss-black scheme. The pics aren't available but the mods he did are listed there.

A good 1/48th scale plastic model of the Typhoon would provide the best source of panel line locations.

Right on steve,
Revell makes a 1:72 kit of both the single seat and dual seat. I bought the kit for to help with many of the scale details. It also contains the missle rails / tank rails which I needed to duplicate. Instructions also have the locations for all the scale nomeclature....

Well....yes and no

I have aquired/made all the armament and I am now working on the tank (330 gal wing tanks) and missle (4 sparrows, 2 sidewinders)rails. Still working on an easy way to mount and remove them from the wings. I have the mounting points solved but not quite sure how to mount them for easy removal yet (cant store the wings in the trailer with the tanks installed []). Once I have all the details done I will start the conversion and the new paint job.....

Guys.. am also getting a grey euro sport to do a detail or atleast more military one.

There are 1600 plus pictures on "www.eurofighter.com" go into Multimedia and then find images, there is an entire index. Most are in flight however there are enough ground and construction pictures to help. There is one of an unusual black with graphics on the tail in the airshow section, in Berlin I think. Also if you go through the Ground Operations section there are about thirty of the black one.

Other than these if you find any up close detail shots please post the site.

Thanks Chris
