Default Lippish model test flights in 1944

Amazing film of some test flights of various models in 1944 in Germany. The one with the very tall fin is the Lippish 13a which was wind tunnel tested at 1,045 mph and was to be powered by a Lorin coal burning ram jet. Very interesting footage of very stable models flying extremely well, without radio control, presumably with some gyroscopic control. Some are just bungee launched and some appear to have a `jetex type solid fuel burner. This video appeared on another group site but is well worth a look at how models influenced the early jet pioneers.
