Default HQI is it a clone HPI? help please


What is this car that i have accedently bought thinking it was an HPI.thats what it was advetised as

I had a couple of them Aristo-Craft/hitec chargers back in the day. Great little chargers...just set it and forget it.

I can see how one could get mixed up by just a quick glance at the logo. Same font/style of lettering. I never heard of hqi, and the tiny little search that I did brought up nothing on the model...weird to say the least.

To my knowledge HPI doesn't have an RC even close to that. The on-roads I know of, are mostly shaft driven that they make.

In all honesty who knows what it might be someone might see bits, and pieces that look similar to other RC's all I can say is I've not seen a similar RC, but my on-road knowledge is a bit lacking.
I once bought a clone RC it had a knock off HPI body, and rims on it, and was a direct rip off of a Tamiya chassis(to the point the tamiya parts were perfect fits) with a few specially crafted parts.

Love how they misspelled Levin as LLVIN along with the Hqi

yea HPI make a belt drive.their pro car,very very good car too,i saw this on an auction on my fone.wasnt till i got home and saw it on my laptop i realized i may have made a bloody mistake
