Lightbulb This Tamiya Toyota FJ Cruiser might make a good starter for an emergency vehicle.

The kit has a trimmed and painted body (in orange) and light buckets to boot. There is not much left to do except a few body cosmetics.

Nice scale-looking Toyota SUV body in 1/10.

Toyota is my favorite make even.

Tamiya FJ Cruiser kits (there are several) could make an off-road-capable animal ambulance or police/sheriff vehicle as well as a fire chief car with an available aftermarket light bar/siren kit.

This kit includes no radio which is good cuz I would need a 4-channel setup with all those fancy emergency lights and sounds to control.

Also an available body light kit can be had from Tamiya.

This seems like a scale car customer's dream come true!

She is 4-wheel drive and will drive anywhere!

at the park, at the beach, across the lawn, through the garden over my living room carpet, down my neighborhood street....
I can chase my roommate's cats and tease my dogs with a rig like this...

Yep....ought to be pretty special with an animal ambulance get-up. I have decided that a cop car just might be too mundane.

The FJ Cruiser was on my wife's list of vehicles to look at, and possibly purchase. We have always loved the FJ's look. I had been eyeballing that same Tamiya kit should the wife and I bring home one (1:1) from the dealer's lot. Unfortunately, the FJ Cruiser doesn't come with third row seating and not being made anymore (2014 last model year?).

2014 FJ last year for American market. 2015, 2016 FJ still made for Aussie market in right-hand drive.

I might get one. I like the CC-O1 chassis, it's simple, robust, cheap, and fun. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done.
