Default Suggestions? Advice?

Hello there 😅. I'm relatively new to hobby grade rc but I have done a lot of research before hand. A lot...but nothing beats experience. I got the ECX RTR AMP mt. That may have been my 1st mistake. I should have gotten a kit so I could learn the assembly and how to repair. I plan on getting a kit here shortly. Anyway my question is, I am trying to build a basher. Ill still be using the ecx body and shocks and chassis. But i am looking at running a 3100kv brushless with a 45a esc that comes with the motor, on a 2s 4000mah 30c lipo. Also purchased a flysky transmitter and receiver for the truck. Is this a good off road/basher set up? Any suggestions to make it better? I'm going to be getting metal suspension arms and shock towers and basically all the aluminum parts I can find hah. Thanks guys any input is appreciated. Again I'm relatively new to rc so please no trolling. ✌😊

Personally, I be honest and telling you not to even worry about getting any aluminum suspension arms or shocked towers. Shocked towers maybe. But for basher, I'd skip them. That's the area of the platform that you want to have some flexibility.

I would not spend the money on those alluminium parts as Rusty said .
I would go for the wheel hexes , metal trans gears and maybe a better servo .
Dont forget you need a lipo charger .

+1

not worth upgrading the RTR, just enjoy it for what it is, then save up for a new kit like you described... what budget and class are you interested in exploring?
