FZ110 excessive smoking
Have a FZ110. Has been a year since I last ran it. It started fine, but smokes excessively and RPM just isn't getting to where I remember it to be. I tried leaning it out, but the RPM dropped rapidly. My fuel is a little old, maybe 5 years, but it was sealed until today and kept in a cool dark basement since new. Fuel is YS 20/20. I tried some fresh Morgan cool power 15% just for testing purposes, and had similar results. Please excuse my ignorance, but could it be a stuck valve, or something of that nature? Or bad fuel?

Solved my own problem. I took the valve cover off and it was loaded with oil (Engine was stored upside down for a year for display purposes). I dumped the oil out, reassembled, and it ran great. Any suggestions on how to prevent the oil buildup?

Typically when finished flying for the day I and many other YS users will run the engine dry. That is we will empty the tank with our pump and the start up the engine at a medium idle and let it run until it stops on its own, repeat a few times. The main thing is to not leave any fuel in the regulator.
