K140G1 wet start
Dear all
My K140G1 has tendency to start wet. When I look into the thrust pipe, I see the flames only occurs at the upper third of the perimeter. Rest is black.
Recently (on a very cold day) it didn’t heat more than a few degrees for many seconds, and then suddenly went warm and spooled up. That resulted in huge flames. Now I have turned the start rpm down, to avoid to heavy cooling.
Do you suggest I reduce fuel flow during start?
(Accu: 3sLiFE 2200mAh fuel: kerosene)

Solved
I spoke to Jean-Marc (LU) and solved the problem by rotating the mount, so the label is pointing upwards. The manual tells me to keep the glow plug upwards, but since it is kero start, I thought that instruction was meaningless. But it still yields to mount it with the “former glow plug” upwards. Lesson learned.
Now all starts are perfect.
