Hello Wren lovers, my good old 44G is running beaut after decade of flying it in slightly over-sized Depron built delta, on "JetA1"fuel, for a practicality reason I wouldn't mind to swap fuel for either Kerosine or Diesel with the proper oil mix if required. Anyone with the experience using these please drop in your thoughts.

Hello Wren lovers, few more flights with my good old "W44G" foamy delta jet, running immaculate, but, still flames out on occasions on finals at lowest throttle setting (trim idle up only) after touch down or just before. Actually, yesty, also quit while at idle for slightly longer period sitting on the tarmac just before taking off. no prob restarting, flying but quit agan just after touch down while rolling out.

Default idle setting is 55K and the instruction manual suggest not to alter these settings, but I'm thinking if it could improve idle reliability if I ramp up-increase idle to lets say 60-65K? The low idle thrust increase wouldn't worry me as it is very low at these settings. I'm not even sure if I can reset it, as there is no intruction for it so wondering if anyone got more knowlage into this?

Another flame out just before touch down.

After discussion with turbine tech. he suggested the most likely cause is the fuel pump, simply getting old-worn out, being an old brushed technology it won't get any better.
Nevertheless, I have re-program my idle from 55 to 62K, will give it another calib. run to see what happens next.
